Clinical Hypnosis and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Qualifications and Background
I have been a psychologist with a special interest in hypnosis, cognitive behavioural therapy (C.B.T.) and related areas for over 12 years. I hold degrees in psychology, philosophy and psychiatric theory and am in the middle of Doctoral research conducted at Birkbeck College London into Evolutionary Psychology. [link]
I am an associate of the National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy.
My therapeutic orientation could best be described as Cognitive-Behavioural but I am well versed in Ericksonian, Rogerian, Freudian, Gestalt and similar approaches and think that these can all be integrated into a wider perspective.
Professional Affiliations
I am an Associate Member of the National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy (N.C.H.P); the General Hypnotherapy Register (G.H.R), and British Psychological Society (B.P.S.) adhering to their codes of ethics at all times and am covered by their Indemnity Insurance. |
